Girard Free Library Services

We hope you enjoy visiting our web site, but we'd be thrilled to have you come in person to visit the library! Our collection includes over 75,000 items. In addition to books, we have DVDs, video games, books on CD, music CDs, large print books, and magazines.

It's easy to get a library card--just bring in a photo ID and sign up. Please bring your card with you every time you use the library.

We have a public copy machine in our lobby. Copies are ten cents each.
We offer faxing service for $1.00 per page.



The charge to send faxes from the library is $1.00 per page; the cover page is free.  Receiving a fax at the library is free.  Our fax number is 330-545-8213.



 14 Days: All items except DVDs and video games
7 Days: Video games and DVDs. PLEASE NOTE: you must be 18 or over to check out video games and DVDs.


Renewals may be made by phone and through our online link to the Library Catalog (CLEVNET)  We will ask for your library card number. You may not renew a title if it has been placed on reserve by another patron.


$0.10 per day per item 
$1.00 per day per item for video games and DVDs.  PLEASE NOTE: you must be 18 or over to check out these items.


Our Reference Desk is staffed during all hours of operation. We will assist you in finding the information you want, whether your request is made in person or over the phone. Our assistance also includes help with the public computers in the library. 


We currently have 14 public computer workstations with printers. The stations offer access to our library catalog; Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel; and the internet (Many online periodical databases, encyclopedias and business databases are available through our link to CLEVNET. 
You must sign in to use the computers with your Girard Free Library card in the Reference area. You must be in good standing with no overdue items or fines to use our computers. Printing cost is 10 cents per page, and paper is sold at the circulation desk.


This collection is primarily designed to help teachers with unit plans, classroom setup and organization. Parents will also find good resources on education issues.


Our community room is available free of charge. Capacity is 50 people. The library director must authorize all applications for use. Call for more information.


We will deliver books to our patrons who are unable to come to the library. Call for more information.
